Absolutely delicious! Served this on pita with tzatziki, shredded lettuce, tomato, and red onion.

Thank you Jaclyn! Your lemon chicken recipe is a family favorite, as well as your pot roast – yum! Debbie

Ground beef could work as well I’d just cook the beef with the spices then add some lemon at the end (omit the oil and vinegar). So glad you like my recipes Debbie!

I use your recipes all the time -they’re fabulous, and love beef Shawarma. I wondered if this recipe can be altered to be made with ground beef? Thanks in advance!

Must have been a mistake – stove top in a (cast iron) skillet is the way to go by far!

Sorry that was a typo. Thanks for pointing that out. It is to be seared on the stovetop for a browned flavor.

Don’t worry, though. You don’t need a fancy spit to make your own beef shawarma at home. I’ll show you how to create the same bold flavor and tender texture by baking it in the oven instead!
Then your instructions said to cook ot in a skillet on the stove top. Which way tastes better?
